A service of NBComm, Condor Book Tours was created from our love of literature, our passion in supporting writers and spreading the word about great stories, and a strong desire to build community around these interests.
Stories
from diverse voices and experiences are marginalized in mainstream publishing and media in the United States.
At Condor Book Tours, we believe these stories are crucial not only to people of diverse backgrounds who may find their
stories between these pages, but also to those who may not otherwise
have an opportunity to empathize with communities and situations outside of
their own personal experience. Above all, we believe the human experience is one that
is shared; the truths of life, loss and love are universal--it's just that they
come in many different forms and colors.
Condor Book Tours provides
support to these works of literature.
More and more authors and publishers are looking for new ways to maximize the exposure of their books to an eager audience. We aim to support authors, publishers and readers by creating a strong and inspired network of publicity around literary works. At Condor Book Tours, we are just as passionate about community as we are about literature.
Part of our mission is to support aspiring authors, book reviewers and entrepreneurs by offering free author livechats, workshops, webinars and informational materials.
We are also committed to improving quality of life thru literacy. Condor Book Tours donates 20% of net profits to organizations that are working to improve literacy in the Americas. Donations in 2010/2011 have been directed to Latino Literacy Now, the organization behind the oldest and longest-running Book and Family Festival in the United States. 100% of commissions made from sales made thru our BookStore (an Amazon affiliate site) are donated to organizations working on improving the quality of life of all through social justice thru literacy initiatives.
